Romeo and Juliet part 2

Here are some pictures from after the performance of Romeo and Juliet. You may notice that Felicity is not wearing glasses. The "director" did not want her to, since they would not have been authentic. We have been thinking about trying Felicity in contacts anyway, so this seemed like as good a time as any. She got a trial pair last Friday and has been wearing them for a week now. She really likes them and is doing great putting them in and taking them out, but has already torn a little chunk out of one, so Shawn and I are still on the fence. Besides that, she has Shawn's astigmatism, so would require the more expensive version and they would be more than glasses.

Calvin's been wearing contacs since he was about 11, he has double astigmatisms, and he wears Bausch and Lomb toric lenses. They are about $10 a pair, and each pair lasts a month. I can buy six months at a time, so it ends up being about $120 a year. If I buy him a very inexpensive pair of glasses, which he still needs when his eyes need a rest, it is more than we were paying before for nice glasses with insurance, but it is so much easier for him with sports, and he feels more comfortabe in them. He does tend to tear them once in a while. I think you'll know when she's ready. She looks beautiful.

How grown up and beautiful does she look?! How fun for her and Shawn to do something like that together! I love your temple pic too - I definitely want to make one. Now, how to decide on which temple!! Thanks for sharing!

She is so cute. I have the astigmatism contacts too, I like them much better than glasses :)
